Context

The restaurant is part of a highly successful mixed-use development - a new-build urban village on the fringe of Liverpool's historic Ropewalks area.

The Challenge

From previous experience, the client was keen to ensure that this new catering operation benefited from a kitchen extraction installation that was sufficiently specified in order to minimise extraction noise and odour to an appropriate level for local residents.

Our Solution

Consolux's solution included the provision of SBEM calculation in line with Part L of Building Regulations.

Subsequent specification of upgraded air conditioning, ducting and extraction resulted in a more energy-efficient operation over the life cycle of the business and minimised impact for nearby residents in terms of noise attenuation.

Installation of a fire protection system to the latest standards was also included as part of the investment.
